Interesting Production Notes
This - and other episodes - were produced by the same people (including composer Edwin Astley) who later produced the Patrick McGoohan series "Danger Man," aka "Secret Agent." More importantly, the show's producer, Hannah Weinstein, was an American who moved to the UK during the McCarthy era "witch hunts." She hired noted blacklisted writers to script episodes.

Lovely First Episode
I have no idea who uploaded these, but this is a fun, entertaining series. Though the picture qas a bit dark at times (at least on my copy), it is delightful.

Can't Wait To Watch These Episodes
I don't know who was the good soul that uploaded all these episodes of The Adventures of Robin Hood, but thanks! I can't wait to download them and watch them. I've never seen this series and await it's "premiere" eagerly!
Kenny
I just finished watching the first episode. It was highly entertaining - I loved it! Now I can't wait to see more of them. Thanks for uploading these. They are something I'd never seen before so they're brand new to me. And thanks Internet Archive for existing and providing the reason to have these available! Everyone should know about this site.

Cecil Hepworth
The Robin Hood series was made at Walton Studios, Walton on Thames, Surrey, England. I was born in the town, and was there at the close of the studios, the majority of the studio land is now occupied by a shopping precinct. The only remaining building on the site of the time is a small theatre, "The Playhouse". The studio was originally owned by Cecil Hepworth, and a road commemorates this "Hepworth Way". Exterior filming was done in the area of Esher, only a couple of miles away. The early title version showed a double decked bus in the background!
